What is the Jesup Legacy Circle?

The Jesup Legacy Circle recognizes individuals who support the future of the American Museum of Natural History through a planned gift. Jesup Circle members receive invitations to special events, gatherings, and regular updates on research, educational programs, and other initiatives, to keep them informed about the Museum and its work.
There is no minimum amount required to join, and anyone passionate about advancing science and education can find a planned gift option that works for them. Some members mention the Museum in a will or living trust, while others designate the Museum as a beneficiary of an IRA, donor-advised fund (DAF), or another account. Certain giving plans, such as charitable gift annuities, can provide benefits to the donor, including lifetime income, potential tax deductions, and reduced estate taxes.
By planning a future gift, Jesup Circle members continue a tradition that has shaped learning, discovery, and experiences at the Museum. Find out more about planning a gift at plannedgiving.amnh.org or call 212-769-5119. If you are already a Jesup Circle member or thinking about joining us, the next Jesup Legacy Circle event will be on June 15, 2026, from 6:00–7:30 pm.
As a Jesup Circle member, you can ensure the American Museum of Natural History continues for generations. We would love to welcome you as our newest member!
